Gabriella Sprenger, or Gabby, was born in Romania of Hungarian Jewish heritage. She came to the US in 1964 as a refugee and became a citizen in the early 70s. Her father was a Holocaust survivor while her grandparents and other members of the family were victims of the Nazis. Her story is their story as well as her own. “All of us children of Holocaust survivors were affected by our parents’ and grandparents’ trauma”.
It is Gabby’s wish and hope that those who hear her story come to realize that even though the Holocaust was decades ago, like the ripples in a pond, the affect is still seen today.
