About the Film
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, presented by Steven Spielberg, continues the adventures of Fievel Mousekewitz, the enchanting mouse hero who first captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences in An American Tail. Its release in 1986 told the story of the immigrant Mousekewitz family and their journey to America.
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West picks up the story of Fievel and his family about two years later. The Mousekewitzes go from the mean streets of New York City to the wide open spaces out West, meeting old friends and new pardners, encountering new enemies and daring challenges. Vulnerability and bravado meet in the action-filled story set against the colorful background of turn-of-the-century America, where Fievel goes in search of his hero and ends up finding himself.
